5 Year State Plan (2027–2031)

The future of disability advocacy in Kansas shouldn't be decided by a handful of people. It should be shaped by all of us!

Over the past several months, KCDD has worked alongside our Council members, self-advocates, families, partners, and community members to develop our Five-Year State Plan (2027–2031). Together, we've identified the goals and priorities that we believe will create meaningful systems change for Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

After extensive brainstorming, collaboration, a 45-day public comment period, Council review, and additional opportunities for public input, the KCDD Council approved our final Five-Year State Plan on September 25, 2026.

Thank you to everyone who shared your experiences, ideas, and feedback throughout this process. Your voices helped shape the future of disability advocacy in Kansas, and we are excited to begin this next chapter together.
